During these decades, the statistics have been showing a higher percentage in discharging of industrial wastewater to wetlands, rivers and coastal areas. This has increased the level of pollution and even caused a serious life hazards for the entire eco- system and human life.
There are different types of industrial waste depends on different industries such as iron and steel industry, Textiles, leather factory, petro chemical and refineries, mining, metal, paper and pulp factory etc. which discharge highly pollutants like acids, salts, organic and inorganic chemicals, phenols and other dangerous chemical wastes.
The amount of industrial wastewater is discharged, based on the level of industrial technical process. The different types of industrial pollutants are produced, based on various types’ productions. Like the various characteristics of industrial waste, the industrial waste water treatment process is exclusively designed in order to treat particular type of effluent produced.
With the rapid growth of different factories, a large quantity of fresh water is being used for production and even for cooling process. This water, which pass through technical process contains effluent chemicals and is discharged into the wetlands which contaminate the environment.
As a solution to this fact, many companies are providing Industrial Waste Water Treatment plants, by converting waste water to highly purified reusable water for other industrial process like for cooling process, watering, sanitary use etc.
